Football
Football is a sport that combines strength, power, speed, and multi-directional movements. Football specific training at the Sports Institute will focus on each of these variables to maximize the athlete's potential on the field. By incorporating integrated stabilization and strength equivalent exercises in our training programs, we are able to assess, teach, and perform these exercise protocols to develop a well rounded player.
Multi-directional movement in this sport requires a lot of power and strength to move not only your own body but an opponent's body to make a play. By increasing the upper and lower body strength a player is able to hit holes faster and hit other players harder. Each athlete will also be assessed and monitored in corrective exercise training to prevent injury.
The football players at the Sports Institute will perform Olympic strength training to develop power and strength, rotary exercise for core development, over speed treadmills for speed training and football specific drills to increase mulit-directional movements.
