Internships

 

 Sport Institute's Mission:

 

The Sports Institute is all about enhancing athletic performance through sport specific designed

workouts. The Sports Institute programs are designed to bring a scientific approach through biomechanics, neuromuscular coordination, anaerobic conditioning and muscle physiology to achieve higher levels of performance. The specialized high-intensity programs are developed and intended for competitive athletes from age 10 through adult. 

 

We are looking for motivated interns with a sincere interest in community building and willingness to work hard. 

The Sports Institute is looking for such individuals to help us in the process of growing and developing young athletes in our community.

The energy and motivation of the staff and intern team is essential to our success.



Exercise Science Internships

                                                             Responsibilities include:

·             Assist with sport specific program development at the Sports Institute

·             Assist and shadow performance coaches during training sessions

·             Attend coaches meetings and discussion of training methods

·             Assisting with and implementing equipment and software to sport program design

·             Help with development of community sporting events as well as youth events

·             Assist Director with office coordination including answering phones and scheduling

·             Participate in and assist with readings, research, and assignments in a timely fashion

·             Interns with be expected to adhere to the Sports Institute dress code and behavior  

           requirements

 

                                                             Skills Needed:

·             Willingness to help with a variety of programs and tasks.

·             Well organized and self-motivated.

·             Willingness to collaborate with staff, community personnel and other interns.

·             Comfortable in diverse settings and diverse communities.

·             Prefer college juniors, seniors, or graduates.

·             Personal Training or Athletic Performance skills desired, but not required.

Sports Management & Marketing Internships


Our Sport Management Internships offer a wide variety of tasks that will help you get started in the sport management field.  Marketing and Management interns will attend a number of sporting events to learn how to promote the company and interact with possible clients. 


Responsibilities include:

·         ·       Assist with marketing programs for the Sports Institute

·         ·       Assist with development and distribution of SI publications and outreach materials

·         ·       Assist with grant research, grant writing and materials coordination,

·         ·       Help with community building and education events,

·         ·       Assist with office coordination including answering phones and scheduling

·         ·       Updating the athlete client database

·         ·       Assist with general office work.

 

Skills Needed:

·         ·       Willingness to help with a variety of programs and tasks.

·         ·       Well organized and self-motivated.

·         ·       Willingness to collaborate with staff, community personnel and other interns.

·         ·       Comfortable in diverse settings and diverse communities.

·         ·       Prefer college juniors, seniors, or graduates.
